Dr. Abdelilah Soussi Gounni, 2009 Manitoba Research Chair

Inflammation is a cardinal feature of airway diseases such as asthma. However, the molecular signaling pathways governing the inflammatory response within the airway are not fully understood.

Dr. Soussi Gounni's research program is to define the key signalling pathways involved in the regulation of neutrophils and ASM cells activation that mediate airway inflammation.
